 Highlawn
has enjoyed a rich tradition of providing a high quality Montessori
education to area children since 1963. Through the years, Highlawn
Montessori School has engaged in many fundraising activities and
events. In addition to providing an opportunity for parents to have
fun and get involved, these events serve an important purpose---they
help to fund operational and capital needs at the school.
In a continued effort to make Highlawn affordable, tuition is always
set significantly below operating costs. For the 2009 – 2010
school year, tuition was set approximately 6% below total costs
creating a gap of over $40,000 for our fundraising efforts to cover.
Our continued dedication to make the Montessori experience as affordable
as possible is why the Board of Directors has decided to begin an
annual giving program, which is being named the Future of Highlawn.
It is our hope that this program will provide a regular and ongoing
avenue through which our parents, staff, alumni, and the community
can support, and stay connected to Highlawn.
A healthy annual fund means more than a balanced budget and fiscal
security for Highlawn. The generosity of donors represents future
programs, facilities, and financial aid that will not be possible
without your support. Highlawn Montessori is a 501c3 tax exempt
organization and all gifts are tax deductible. Please feel free
